Hi,

I want know if is possible create a report, with this caracteristics.

The best way to do this is with a cartesian join added to your "real" query.

For example, the following will create three rows for each real table row, with an extra column called "invoice_info", properly ordered so the "original" shows up first, in case that is important to you <s>:

Code Snippet

(select 'ORIGINAL' as invoice_info, 1 AS invoice_order

select 'COPY1',2

.. now put a group on your invoice # (or sales_no, in my example) or whatever you want in your report...

Reporting Services installs sample reports. There is one particular report
you could probably use as template.
The report is called Sales Order Detail report. It resembles an invoice. You
should be able to access this report in http://<server>/ReportServer in the
SampleReports folder. You can access the design of this report in Visual
Studio .Net.

Invalid object name error while constructing sql using datarelation

Hi mates

I am getting the following error "Invalid object name 't1'.Invalid object name 'relT1T2'."

Could you please post your connection string "CONN1" here please?

Also, it seems to me you are drive data from your datarelation class, Based on my understanding, datarelation class is not designed for that purpose (it only represent relationships between tables in a dataset, it cannot be used like tables or datasets).

Getting the following error in SQL 2005 :
Msg 7696, Level 16, State 10, Line 1
Invalid locale ID was specified. Please verify that the locale ID is correct
and corresponding language resource has been installed.
Well my question is : Is it possible to install a language or do I have to
accept the languages installed. My desired language is danish (locale id
1030) and it is not installed. I can see this by querying
sys.fulltext_languages. Well if it's not possible to install the language
then it is quite useless because I want to use the rules for the danish
language not sweduisk, english or german. It's not a new feature for me when
it is possible to choose language using Contains and Freetext if my desired
language isn't there. But here is the funny part. The language was present
in the Beta Version. What has happened ? Is Denmark wiped of the map since
then ?
Anybody knows ?
If it's not possible then let me know because then I can't use fulltext in
2005 either.

As of the Sept CTP version of SQL Server 2005 the Danish word breaker is not
installed, along with some other languages, as these are 3rd party supplied
and not from Microsoft. The above link has information on how to add the
missing languages to the CTP, which I guess should work on the final release
too. However, the actual entries needed to add to the registry are missing
for the Danish breaker, so you might need to contact MS to get them to
update this article. There is a danlr.dll in the Binn dir in SQL Server 2005
(at least on my server there is), so it looks like the file ships with SQL
Server 2005, it just doesn't get enabled.

thanx a bunch. It works fine. Well had to restart the machine (hmm maby
reatrting the services would do but my VPC kind of "died"). But following
the article worked just fine. So now I'm much much happier So we can
conclude that it works in RTM. The dll's are there.

When i try to execute i receive following error:

Has anyone seen the following message and if so how did you go about resolving the problem?

Intra-query parallelism caused your server command (process ID #15) to deadlock. Rerun the query without intra-query parallelism by using the query hint option (maxdop 1).Can anyone give me a low down on Intra-query parallelism and why a quad server will get this error?

well as the article mentioned by a MVP in this group in a message dated
07/26/2007. I also read up on Degrees of parallelism in BOL. What isn't
clear to me is, what exactly is meant by parallel "query" execution? Is this
referring to a single "query" being executed by multiple threads
simultaneously, or multiple threads executing separate "queries" (even
though the statements may be identical)? If it is the former then I see no
reason why I shouldn't go ahead and disable it, since only this one process
which runs after hours has generated the error. If it is the latter, then
that would seem to indicate that disabling parallel query execution
effectively would make my four CPU server a one CPU server. What I have read
seems to suggest the former, but nowhere is it stated outright. Can anyone
clear this up for me?

You can just add the OPTION (MAXDOP 1) to your SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE
statement to suppress parallelism for that one query.

well as the article mentioned by a MVP in this group in a message dated
07/26/2007. I also read up on Degrees of parallelism in BOL. What isn't
clear to me is, what exactly is meant by parallel "query" execution? Is this
referring to a single "query" being executed by multiple threads
simultaneously, or multiple threads executing separate "queries" (even
though the statements may be identical)? If it is the former then I see no
reason why I shouldn't go ahead and disable it, since only this one process
which runs after hours has generated the error. If it is the latter, then
that would seem to indicate that disabling parallel query execution
effectively would make my four CPU server a one CPU server. What I have read
seems to suggest the former, but nowhere is it stated outright. Can anyone
clear this up for me?

when they occur. I got the dump below. My question is how to interpret
a line like

Interpolating a line for missing data points in line / bar graph

I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I have a set of data values I want to display as lines from left to right, grouped by month, and a series is specified. There is no aggregation as the series/month combination is unique. However, sometimes there is no data for a given series and month. When this happens, my line breaks at the previous month and starts again on the next month. I tried using a column chart and specifying plot data as line, but I still get the same result. Is there a way to get SQL Server Reporting Services 2000 to connect the dots with the existing data or do I have to alter my stored procedure and create an interpolation scheme for missing months?

If not, will this be addressed in 2005?

Please make sure you have RS 2000 SP2 installed (on the report server and the report designer machines).

On SQL Server 2005 it will work just fine.

If I leave out the row, the graph just leaves the month out. If I make the data value null, it puts the month in, leaves the marker off, but still draws a line from the previous to the next month. Is there a trick to make the line break?

|||I have the same problem - I am plotting a financial instrument and want to overlay the plot with buy/sell activity. Thus I buy at, say 09:00 and sell at 09:30 before buying again at 10:00. The Chart plots a line between the end of the buy line at 09:30 and the next buy at 10:00. This is despite the result set having a a null value between these two times.
Has anyone an answer to this problem?
